Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) is considering the possibility of offering a scholarship to a Maltese graduate student (must be graduated before the departure for Japan; also, must be born after 1 April 1988), starting from April or September/October 2023.

The call for applications for the 2-years postgraduate scholarship “Research Students” (starting from 2023) for Maltese citizens is now open. The aim of the scholarship is to carry out
a research at a Japanese University for 2 years (extendable, should the student enrol in a master course and/or doctoral course); to be eligible to apply, applicants have to be born after
1 April 1988, and have to be graduated before their departure for Japan (at the start of April 2023 or September/October 2023).
