The Erasmus+ Programme offers UM students the opportunity to pursue a study or traineeship mobility abroad. The UM has several inter-institutional agreements with European partner universities where students can carry out a study or faculty-arranged traineeship mobility. This mobility must be carried out during the designated mobility semester of one’s course of studies, and for which applications must be submitted in the academic year prior to the mobility semester. When applying, students are to select up to 5 university preferences.
In addition, all UM students at every study level can apply for a self-secured traineeship mobility for research or training purposes. This can be undertaken at any eligible institution, enterprise, or organisation of one’s choice (excluding EU bodies) in Erasmus+ Programme Countries. It can take place during the summer months (subject to no academic commitments requiring physical presence in Malta) or within a year after graduation, provided applications are submitted before graduating.
Further information about the Erasmus+ Programme is available on the webpage of the International Office.
The Erasmus+ Application Form for Call 2025 for students wishing to proceed on a mobility during the academic year 2025/26 will be available on the above webpage. Applications are open and the application deadline is Friday 31 January 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ and Q&A Sessions
Two general ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ and Q&A sessions were held in December 2024. A number of course-specific Erasmus+ information sessions are also being organised in collaboration with the relevant departments or student organisations. We strongly recommend students enrolled in these courses attend these specific sessions because these will be tailored to address the specific requirements and opportunities relevant to each course. The dates and times for these sessions are being communicated directly to the students by the respective department/organisation.
