Freshers’ Week 30 September 2024 - 4 October 2025
The MCAO team welcomed UM freshers at the stand set up in the outside area of the Gateway Building, where they were offered some freebies and invited to participate in games. The stand also served as an information point for the new students. Campus 103.7, in a tent located next to the MCAO central stand, participated in this event and aired the morning programmes had live interviews with a number of distinguished guests, staff and students.
Visit by Gozo 6th Form Students - November 2024
In November 2024, students from Sir Michaelangelo Refalo Sixth Form visited the University of Malta Msida campus for an in-depth look at their future academic options. After meeting with the Gozo University Group (GUG), students explored various UM laboratories and engaged with course coordinators. These interactive sessions and presentations provided valuable insights into specific programmes of interest and their respective career prospects.
Christmas on Campus 2024
The MCAO assisted the Christmas on Campus 2024 organisers throughout the event, with the design of the artwork, photography and videography, social media and news media coverage, as well as marketing the event with staff and students.
University of Malta Research Expo May 2025
MCAO was part of the organising committee for the Research Expo held on 28 May 2025 at the UM Valletta Campus. This event brings together UM researchers giving them the opportunity to showcase their research activities while encouraging them to share ideas.
Other events organised by the Student Recruitment Office
The Sixth-Form Students from the newly-opened Mediterranean College of Sport visited the UM Msida Campus and were given a tour of the campus on 5 December 2024.
Besides the online events and information webinars held regularly throughout the year, the Student Recruitment Office organised an Open Day for prospective international applicants, residing in Malta holding non-Maltese qualifications. This in-person event was held at the Msida Campus on 11 June 2025.
